Individual

Tutoring

Two Options

We have in-person one on one tutoring available in Gilbert, AZ.

We also offer remote individualized tutoring. Students will need access to a laptop using the Chrome browser and Zoom.

Two sessions or more per week is suggested.  Of course each student is unique, so we are happy to tailor base your family's needs.

Small Group Tutoring

Two Options

Small group tutoring with a maximum of three students may also fit for your family.

Just like with individual tutoring, our small group sessions can take place in person or remotely (laptop with Chrome browser and Zoom required).

Sessions occur two days a week and times are based on schedule availability. These are established days and times of the week, so if your schedule is flexible, this may be a great option.

SOcial Skills Program

UCLA PEERS Program

As a PEERS Certified Provider, we offer 14 week programs for our teens. The classes specifically caters to 13-17 year-old teens who have autism and want to improve their social skills.  Each 90 minute session will include topics such as entering and exiting conversations, choosing appropriate friends, appropriate use of humor, managing get-togethers, using good sportsmanship, bullying, rumors, gossip, changing bad reputations, and how to handle conflict.

Our groups are small by design with limited availability.  To work with our unique individuals, we do offer both In-Person and Remote programs.  To find out when then next session begins and to see if this is a good fit for your teen, please fill out our interest form here.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

"How long does it take to complete the Barton Reading & Spelling System?"

As always, each individual student progresses at their own rate of success.  With tutoring at two sessions a week, it should take between two to three years to complete levels 1-8.  Levels 9 and 10 are the final two should families want to continue on.  It is also important to realize this is a process and not a quick fix.

"Can I sit in the tutoring sessions with my student?"

Yes of course. We are happy to have you sit in the sessions as an observer.  We ask the first few sessions are just the tutor and student so repertoire and relationships can become established.

"What if I need to reschedule a make up session?"

We understand life happens and grace is needed.  We kindly ask cancellations occur 24 hours in advance if possible. Select days and times are pre-set for make up sessions.  We appreciate and welcome proactive communication.

"What qualifications do tutors hold?"

Passion and desire to help your student reach their potential confidently is on the forefront for each of our tutors.  This is fully supported with each tutor holding a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, a minimum of a bachelors degree in education, and was a former teacher at one point in their professional career.

"Is remote tutoring just as effective as in person tutoring?"

Students have found the program to be fun and interactive just as much as in person.  Results and progression is the same rate as in person tutoring.  Please note, the remote tutoring works best on a laptop using the Chrome browser and Zoom.  There is an app for tablets, although there have been mixed reviews.
